Livison Chareka
Livison was born in the Muzarabani District of Zimbabwe and was educated at Chadereka Primary School and then at St. Mary’s Catholic School in Chitungwiza. He started working with dogs in May 1992 when he joined the security firm, Tredar Association as a dog handler. In 2002 he joined the ZNSPCA, where he passed the Animal Welfare Inspectors exam.
“As a young boy, I grew up in the rural area where we had cattle, goats, dogs and chickens at our home. Being the youngest child, it was my responsibility to see that all the animals were fed, had water and were safe and happy. I have also learned a lot during my stay with ZNSPCA and VAWZ.”
